Who we are
The Mwangaza Foundation (MF) is a Non-Governmental Organization in Tanzania Mainland with its headquarters in Ruvuma Region – Songea Municipality.
It started as a CBO (Community Based Organization) in 2007. Thereafter it was formed as a Regional Organization in 2008 and by the year 2010, it was registered under the National NGOs Act No. 24 (2002) section 12(2) as a National Organization, having its registration certificate No. 00NGO/00003881.
Our vision
Mwangaza Foundation (MF) in collaboration with all stakeholders in and outside Tanzania aims to be a premier champion of change in the environment and better livelihood conditions of the communities and /or the marginalized groups with a positive impact on development initiatives by 2030
Our mission
Mwangaza Foundation (MF) in collaboration with all stakeholders in and outside Tanzania shall enhance the environmental focus, care and support individuals and communities in program interventions that focus largely on environmental and social–economic issues at various levels in the communities.
Our approach
- Mwangaza Foundation (MF) works in partnership with local communities, CSOs, local government authorities, and various institutions.
- The partnership enables the involvement and participation of all stakeholders from the beginning.
- Mwangaza Foundation (MF) continues to monitor projects from the beginning, during implementation and handover.
